It's the fifth of July, and in most parts of the country, it's a gorgeous summer Friday that many of us, sadistically, have to spend indoors, in front of computers. Or do we?
This is a story about a friend of mine. This friend always forgets to turn off auto-capitalization on his phone when he is pretending to be at his computer, while logged into Campfire (a group chat service) or on IM throughout the day. This friend is not fooling anyone.
Basically, the advice is to just work remotely if you can, and then if you need to slack off even further, use your phone to "work". But remember! We don't talk the way in our day to day like we do on our phones. More specifically, we don't capitalize every new sentence and proper noun (or half of compound proper nouns, like "new York"), and your phone is narcing you our every time it does. So turn that crap off!
On iPhone, you go into Settings > General > Keyboard > Auto-Capitalization
For Android, it's Settings > Language & Keyboard > Touch Input > Auto-Capitalization
And now you can slack off like a pro. Go find a parade float to dance on or something.
